I have decided to challenge myself this year with a little help from The Guardian newspaper and Julie and Julia the film.

Each week in the Guardian Weekend magazine there is a theme for people to photographically translate the word of the week into photos. The film is basically about a woman who has set her self a cooking challenge and place her progress on a blog.

As I have not really done much in the last year, I decided that it was time to make more of an effort.

Well, here goes.

The photos attached are my first attempt, but hopefully the weekly challenge will improve my photography.
